COBB COUNTY, GA — A man appears to have been arrested after being tracked by former TV reality star Dog the Bounty Hunter in Cobb County.

Dog, whose real name is Duane Chapman, on Wednesday shared video footage of what appears to be Cobb County Police officers arresting a man with Chapman's assistance. The man's identity and potential charges he faces were not released.

"You never know what’s gonna happen out there. Stay ready so you ain’t gotta get ready. 💪Told that young man to settle down before he got hurt, got more charges, and to change his life while he still can," Chapman wrote in a Facebook post.

Powder Springs Police on Thursday hinted the takedown may have occurred near its town.

In sharing the video in a Facebook post, police wrote, in part:

"OK CHAT THIS GETTING OUTTA HAND!!Chat, apparently Dog the Bounty Hunter was right around the corner from us and he didn’t even stop by to say hey?! ... We would’ve rolled out the red carpet or at least moved the cones out the parking lot for ya.It’s cool though, Dog We’re gonna let it slide THIS time. But next time you’re in the area, the least you can do is pull up for a quick patrol pic and a gas station snack run with the squad."

Cobb County Police on Thursday also shared their reaction in a Facebook post. They wrote:

"Dog the Bounty Hunter working in Cobb County wasn't exactly on our 2026 bingo card. But honestly... it tracks. People been saying for years that if you commit crimes in Cobb County you can County On Being Busted. Now Dog shows up too?Yeah... criminals might wanna sit this one out."

Chapman first confirmed he would be partnering with A 2nd Chance Bail Bonds in early April after word broke out on the joint venture in March. The bond agency has offices in Alabama and Georgia, including in Marietta.

Aside from filming, Chapman has been a guest on A 2nd Chance Bail Bonds' "Justice Unfiltered," a podcast where he reflected on his career and the bail system.

Chapman is most known for his role on A&E's "Dog the Bounty Hunter," which aired from 2003-12. On the show, Chapman and then-wife Beth worked with family to track down fugitives.

After the hit show ended, the couple went on to star in CMT's "Dog and Beth: On the Hunt" in 2013 and WGN America's "Dog's Most Wanted" in 2019.

Circumstances took a turn when Beth died of throat cancer in 2019, People reported.

Georgia then became home to Chapman, who cut back on bounty hunting, according to the news outlet. Since then, Chapman has remarried.
