• Cobb & Douglas Public Health Offers Free Mosquito Larvicide Tablets (cobbcountycourier.com) — Cobb & Douglas Public Health is giving Marietta and Cobb residents free mosquito larvicide tablets through Oct. 30 to help curb West Nile virus, with pickup available at the Marietta Public Health Center and other local clinics. Each household can receive one six-tablet pack for hard-to-drain standing water, alongside the usual "tip and toss" advice for outdoor containers.
   

• New Cobb County Business Licenses Issued Sept. 20-27 (cobbcountycourier.com) — Several new business licenses were issued in unincorporated Cobb County last week, including multiple ventures using Marietta addresses for retail, professional services, and construction.
