Cobb Woman Accused Theft from Marietta Company
The Dallas woman allegedly stole over $600,000 from her employer over a seven-year period.
A Cobb County woman was arrested and indicted on racketeering charges on Tuesday following an investigation into alleged thefts of money from a Marietta business over a seven-year span.
The Marietta Daily Journal reports that 39-year-old Jennifer Ann Broussard of Dallas was indicted by a Cobb County Grand Jury on 172 counts; a count of theft by taking and a count of computer forgery for each of the 86 checks she allegedly stole from Craftsman Business Interiors, Inc. of Marietta and used to enrich herself.
Cobb County jail records show Broussard was faces two counts of violating the Georgia RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) Act for allegedly pocketing $645,000 meant for Crafstman Business Interiors, where Broussard served as an office manager and project manager from 2001-13.

The indictment against Broussard claims that from January, 2006 to February, 2013, she would steal company money by writing checks to herself and forging other people’s signatures, would cash checks meant for vendors in her own name, and would then cover up her acts by manipulating company records.
