Cobb Woman Killed In Crash With Tractor-Trailer
Police had not determined Wednesday morning whether any charges will be filed in the early-morning crash.

MARIETTA, GA — A Cobb County woman was killed in the early-morning hours on Wednesday when police say she slammed into a tractor-trailer that was pulling onto the roadway.
Margaret Lightfoot, 31, of Austell, was driving her 2000 Chrysler minivan west on Six Flags Road at about 12:40 a.m. Wednesday when a tractor-trailer pulled out from a private driveway, according to Cobb County Police.
The front of her minivan slammed into the wheels on the left side of the tractor-trailer, police said. Lightfoot was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Freightliner tractor-trailer, Placencia Orlando, 40, of Homestead, Fla., was not injured.

Investigators had not decided Wednesday morning whether any charges will be filed in the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cobb County Police Department’s STEP Unit at 770-499-3987.
