Marietta Police to Host Seminar for Taxi Drivers
The seminar will focus on ways drivers can keep themselves safe from crime.

The Marietta Police Department will be hosting a Taxi Cab Driver Safety Seminar to all City of Marietta taxi drivers on August 27th at 1:00pm. The Marietta Police Department strives to educate, prepare and keep all local taxi drivers safe. Taxi drivers play a large part in the community and Marietta Police Department wants to ensure the safety of each driver and their customers. This seminar is designed for local taxi drivers and will cover a variety of topics to include driver safety, what to do in times of emergency and customer service ques.
The Taxi Cab Driver Safety Seminar will be held at the Marietta Police Department on Thursday, August 27th at 1:00pm and will last approximately 2 hours. The following topics will be covered:
• Dangers taxi drivers face
• How to read your customer
• Driver safety with customers
• Driver roadway safety
• How to be a good witness
• What to do in an emergency
This seminar is open to City of Marietta taxi drivers and taxi companies. There will be a Spanish translator available for guests if needed.
