North Cobb Drug Trafficker Returns To Prison

Janmike Cortez Mosley was sentenced to 35 years in prison last week.

MARIETTA, GA -- A repeat offender convicted of trafficking drugs in north Cobb has been sentenced to prison.

On Aug. 17 after a weeklong trial, a Cobb jury convicted Janmike Cortez Mosley, 28, last of Stone Mountain, of trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In late 2016, narcotics agents of the Marietta-Cobb-Smyrna task force learned Mosley was supplying heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine to a large customer base in the Kennesaw/Acworth area, and agents located a potential stash house on Creel Court. Execution of a search warrant there found trafficking amounts of cocaine, large amounts of marijuana, and a small amount of methamphetamine as well as an AR 15-style rifle and pistol grip shotgun.

On Sept. 5, Judge Joyette Holmes sentenced Mosley to 35 years, with 18 years to serve in prison and the rest on probation. Judge Holmes also fined Mosley $100,000.
