Repeat Cobb Drug Dealer Gets 15 Years in Jail

Larry Price once tried to hide cocaine from police by hiding it in his genital and groin areas.

MARIETTA, GA — A repeat drug offender has been ordered to serve 15 years in two drug cases.

Larry Latrelle Price, 38, pleaded guilty and was sentenced on Tuesday, according to the Cobb County DA's office.

On July 2, 2015, while executing a search warrant on Price’s home on Brook Circle in Marietta, police found multiple controlled substances, a scale, and a firearm inside the home. After searching Price himself, police found about five grams of cocaine hidden in his genital area.

Price was charged with multiple cocaine and drug charges, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

While free on bond, Price was again arrested by Marietta police in January 2016 when he was stopped for speeding. Price was apprehended after trying to run from police, who found about 19 grams of cocaine hidden in his groin area. He was again charged with more drug offenses and five misdemeanor traffic offenses.

“Larry Price has been possessing and distributing drugs in Cobb County for nearly 20 years,” said ADA Courtney Veal. “He is a repeat offender and it is time to ensure that he is off the streets and no longer able to deal drugs in our community.”

Price was also sentenced to 15 years on probation.
