Teen Girl Held At Gunpoint In Cobb Drug Robbery

The 17 year old got into an SUV with five other teens who drove her to a nearby shopping center parking lot.

ACWORTH, GA — A 17-year-old girl was robbed at gunpoint by five other teens in what Acworth Police say was a drug deal gone bad.

Justin Chatmon, 19, of Acworth, has been charged in the robbery, along with three 17 year olds and a 16 year old. One of the 17 year olds pulled a handgun during the robbery, according to police. The alleged robbers are from Acworth, Kennesaw and Marietta.

The teen girl got into an SUV with the group at about 8 p.m. on June 1 at Loring Road and Cobb Parkway in Acworth, according to police. They drove to a nearby shopping center parking lot, where one of the robbers pulled the handgun and the group stole cash and a gift card from her.

Police say the five robbers had a small amount of marijuana and barbituates with them when they were arrested. Chatmon and the 17 year olds were being held without bond at Cobb County Jail on Thursday afternoon.
