1 Dead in Officer-Involved Shooting: Reports
Suspect is dead after several shots heard at Aloft hotel downtown, according to media reports.
One person is dead in an officer-involved shooting at the Aloft Hotel in downtown Atlanta, according to media reports.
More than a dozen gunshots were heard as police took control of the area at 300 Spring Street NW, according to the AJC.
One male suspect was declared deceased, department spokesman Ralph Woolfolk told Patch. A previous SWAT situation at the Aloft Hotel has been resolved, Woolfolk added.

WSB-TV learned from police that no officers were hurt and that two crime scenes may be involved.
A hotel statement to NBC NEWS noted, “It was apparently the result of a police chase that ended nearby.”
