3 Men Shot, Stabbed Outside Recording Studio In Midtown
Patchwerk Recording Studios is popular in the hip-hop and R&B scene with clients including Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Outkast and Tupac.

ATLANTA, GA — Three men were ambushed early Tuesday morning, shot and stabbed after a recording session at a Midtown Atlanta recording studio.
At about 2:30 a.m., Atlanta Police responded to Patchwerk Recording Studios, at the corner of Hemphill Avenue and 11th Street. There, they found two men who had been shot multiple times in their legs. A third man said he had been stabbed in the hand.
The two gunshot victims were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where they were treated for wounds that are not believed to be life-threatening.

According to police spokeswoman Officer Lisa Bender, the three victims were part of a group of six or seven people who were recording music at the studio. Police believe three armed attackers shot the victims as the left the studio via a rear door into the parking lot, then ran away.

Founded by ex-Atlanta Falcons offensive tackle Bob Whitfield, Patchwerk Recording Studios is a well-known spot in Atlanta's hip-hop and R&B scene, with a client list that includes Mariah Carey, Outkast, Tupac Shakur, Britney Spears, Cher and Snoop Dogg.
Police were not releasing the names of the victims Tuesday morning.
