The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) is pleased to welcome AIGA 100: A Century of Design, a retrospective of a century of graphic design from AIGA (initially known as the American Institute of Graphic Arts). Curated by AIGA medalist and president Sean Adams, this unique collection is on view for the very first time anywhere.
Founded in 1914, AIGA celebrates its centennial year with a remarkable exhibition culled from the organization’s archives. Cutting edge work by esteemed designers like Paul Rand, Saul Bass, Milton Glaser, Stefan Sagmeister and many more reveals the increasing power, precision and nuance that design brings to our commercial and cultural dialogue. AIGA 100: A Century of Design will demonstrate the evolution and impact that graphic design has made on the world through the history of AIGA. From its beginnings in New York City to the development of 67 local chapters, AIGA continues to demonstrate the power of design to improve society and create value for individuals and businesses alike.
