Allstate Ranks Atlanta Low on Driver Safety List
Atlanta was ranked in the bottom quarter of American cities in driver safety by the insurance giant.

As if you needed someone else telling you driving in Atlanta stinks, insurance company Allstate has put the city near the bottom of its list of the safest cities to drive in for 2014.
Using city population, city density, car collision frequency during rainy and snowy conditions, and car collision frequency during normal conditions, Atlanta placed 179th out of 200 cities evaluated by the city. The top city on the list was Fort Collins, CO, while Worcester, MA brought up the rear.
This the tenth anniversary edition of the Allstate America’s Best Drivers Report, and this is the first year that the agency has included factors like population density and the frequency of collisions in certain conditions. The report also includes cities’ historical rankings.
