American Diabetes Association's 2014 Father of the Year Annual Awards Gala

The American Diabetes Association -
Atlanta Chapter (ADA Atlanta) selected WSB Radio’s Dave Baker as the Master of
Ceremonies for the 2014 Father of the Year Annual Awards Gala this summer.

The 2014 Father
of the Year Annual Awards Gala, set for Thursday, June 12 at 6 p.m. in the
Ballroom at TWELVE Atlantic Station, aims to raise $325,000.00 this year for
diabetes research, education and advocacy. The 2014 Father of the Year honorees
(Albert Tarica, John Brock and Mark Wilson) are committed to raise much of the
funds through their own efforts.

Dave Baker,
this year’s Master of Ceremonies, is “WSB’s resident household repair and home
improvement expert” whose Home Fix-It Show airs every Saturday morning from
9:00 a.m. until noon (and is the longest continuous running radio show in
Atlanta).  Baker, husband and father of
two, was diagnosed with diabetes in 1998 and is “look[ing] forward to hosting
an evening of like minded people who are giving to a great cause that effects
people of all ages.”

Each year the
ADA strives to increase awareness through education for diabetes as well as
