Another Attack at Atlanta Park; Woman Robbed at Gunpoint

The attack came one day after a man attacked two women who were running in Chastain Park.

ATLANTA, GA — Another woman was attacked at an Atlanta park less than 24 hours after a man attacked two women at Chastain Park.

The latest incident came at Whittier Mills Park, according to Channel 2's report, when a photographer was scouting locations for a photo shoot. She told police that a man drove up to her in a white Dodge Charger, and pretended to be another photographer. He then pulled an assault rifle on her, told her to face a nearby wall and get on the ground.

The man, described as an African American who a goatee and short haircut, then dumped the woman's purse, took her car keys and looked through her car. He then took the keys and ran away.

Whittier Mills Park is located off Bolton Road and I-285, near the West Midtown and Vinings communities.

Police have arrested a man for allegedly attacking two sisters who were out for a run late Wednesday night in Chastain Park.

Police said the women got separated and that's when a man attacked one of them, throwing her to the ground. The other sister then came upon them and fought and bit the man, who then ran away.

Police later caught the suspect at the Tuxedo Road and Tuxedo Court intersection.
