Arrests Made in Weekend Midtown Carjacking
The incident happened Sunday at Avery Drive and Beverly Road.

Atlanta police say they have made six arrests in connection with a Sunday Midtown carjacking.
The incident happened at the intersection of Avery Drive and Beverly Road, according to the AJC. A female driver in Ford Escape was rear-ended by a Jeep Liberty with four men inside. When the woman got out to speak with the Jeep driver, another passenger jumped out and drove her vehicle away. The driver of the Jeep also then sped away.
Atlanta Police Sgt. Warren Pickard confirmed the arrests with the AJC, but no other details have been released.

The victim’s car, which included her purse, iPhone and iPad, have not been recovered.
Police also believe the Jeep Liberty was stolen.
