Atlanta-Bound Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Buffalo

An Atlanta-bound Delta Air Lines flight returned to Buffalo on Thursday after pilots received indications that something may have been wrong.

According to Delta, the pilots of Flight 1672 received indications of an issue with one of the MD-88’s two engines. Taking no chances, the plane immediately aborted its flight to Atlanta and headed back to Buffalo International Airport. The plane touched down without incident, Delta said.

There were no injuries reported among the 174 passengers or five crew members, Delta said. Maintenance technicians are now examining the aircraft to find the problem.
