Atlanta Chef Appearing On Netflix's 'The Final Table' In November
Chef Ronald Hsu of Candler Park's new Lazy Betty is competing in the series.
ATLANTA, GA -- A local chef is set to appear in November on Netflix's "The Final Table." Ron Hsu, executive chef of the new Lazy Betty restaurant in Candler Park will compete on the show alongside chefs from around the world to master global cuisines. Lazy Betty is set to open next year.
Other chefs competing are Shin Takagi of Japan's two Michelin-starred Zeniya Restaurant and competitors Aaron Bludorn of NYC's Cafe Boulud, Timothy Hollingsworth of Los Angeles' Otium, and Ash Heeger of Ash in Cape Town. Also appearing on the show include industry pros such as Andrew Knowlton, Grant Achatz, and Enrique Olvera, with public figures including Hasan Minhaj, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Dax Shepard.
"The Final Table" launches November 20 on Netflix.

Lazy Betty will open at 1530 DeKalb Avenue in early 2019, in the space formerly occupied by Radial Cafe. The restaurant will offer both tasting menu and à la carte options, and seasonal fare using modern culinary techniques.
An Atlanta native, Hsu brings culinary chops from Michelin-starred Le Bernardin and Le Colonial, both internationally acclaimed NYC restaurants. He served as executive sous chef at Le Bernardin before taking an executive chef position at Le Colonial. He then returned to Le Bernardin as creative director.

Aaron Phillips serves as chef de cuisine/partner at Lazy Betty and brings NYC culinary talent from his former position as Sous Chef at Le Bernardin, where he met Hsu. He also cooked at NYC restaurants including the famed Bouley, Jean-Georges’ The Mark Restaurant, and The Four Seasons Hotel, where he served as sous shef.
Hsu's siblings, Howard and Anita Hsu, operate Sweet Auburn BBQ in Poncey-Highland and are also partners in Lazy Betty.
