Atlanta News: Fire at Apartment Complex Forces 50 to Evacuate

Firefighters subdued the blaze, but not before it had damaged units on the top and bottom floors of the complex.

50 southwest Atlanta residents were forced from their homes Friday after a fire broke out at their apartment complex, WSB-TV reports.

The station says that the blaze at the 1890 House Apartments on Myrtle Drive was handled by firefighters, but several apartment units suffered damage. Units on the top floor received the most damage, WSB-TV said, but units on the ground floors also had smoke damage.

WSB-TV made no mention of any injuries or fatalities caused by the fire.
