Atlanta Police Use Taser on Naked Man at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

A 23-year-old man is at Grady Memorial Hospital after he was tased by police for running around naked and acting erratically at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Thursday morning.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Derrick Weems was a ticketed passenger for a flight departing from gate A21 at approximately 6:30 a.m. when he suddenly appeared naked and began yelling inside the terminal. Police approached Weems about 30 minutes after his actions began.

Weems would not calm down, so he was tased and arrested. He has been charged with disorderly conduct, an Atlanta police spokesperson told the AJC.
