Atlanta Pride Festival: Everything You Need to Know

The 46th annual event is set for Oct. 8-9 at Piedmont Park.

ATLANTA, GA — One of the largest gay pride events in the nation is set for Oct. 7-8 at Midtown Atlanta's Piedmont Park. The 46th annual Atlanta Pride Festival also coincides with National Coming Out Day Weekend.

“It is important to Atlanta Pride that we offer not only a stellar line up of diverse artists from many genres that is accessible to all members of our community," said event executive director Jamie Fergerson. “While many other large Pride celebrations have moved to ticketing portions of their festival, thanks to the support of Atlanta’s LGBT community and our sponsors alike, we can stay true to our commitment of keeping the festival and our entertainment free of charge.”

Lodging

  • The official Atlanta Pride host hotel is the W Atlanta Midtown. A portion of the cost of each room night booked is donated back to Atlanta Pride.

Parades and Marches

  • The main march of Atlanta Gay Pride begins at Ralph McGill and Peachtree, marching up Peachtree to 10th and then to the Piedmont Park gate at Ivan Allen.
  • The annual Trans March steps off on Saturday at 1:45 pm, with assembly beginning at 1:15 p.m. at the Charles Allen Gate.
  • The annual Dyke March steps off at 6 pm, with assembly at 5:30 p.m., also at the Charles Allen Gate.

Entertainment

The Atlanta Pride Festival features two stages at Piedmont Park: the Bud Light Stage and the Coca-Cola Stage.

The Bud Light Stage is located next to the pavilion by the soccer fields, and the Coca- Cola Stage is located at the top of the meadow at 10th Street near the Charles Allen Gate.

Parking

  • Atlanta Pride has partnered with Parking Panda to allow visitors to purchase guaranteed parking near Atlanta Pride festivities. Once purchased, parking is 100 percent guaranteed even if the location otherwise fills up. Present your purchase confirmation at the selected location.
  • Cars can be ticketed and/or towed in several of the residential areas around the park. Use paid lots or take MARTA. Use the following links:
