Atlantic Station Welcomes ATL Kula to Dynamic Tenant Mix
Locally owned and operated holistic wellness studio to open this fall.
From Atlantic Station: Atlantic Station announced today the addition of ATL Kula to its expanding tenant mix. The locally owned studio will feature a blend of unique yoga, barre and Pilates experiences for guests of all levels. The 1700-square-foot studio will be located on 17 ½ Street, near the Twelve Hotel. The addition of the wellness studio represents the mixed-use development’s overall strategy of creating a more modern, approachable living experience within the Midtown market.
“We’re thrilled that ATL Kula has chosen Atlantic Station for their first venture” said Nick Garzia, Director of Retail Leasing at Hines. “We’ve been hosting free weekly Yoga in the Park for our customers over the past several years, and it has been very successful. Having a permanent yoga studio at Atlantic Station will amplify that experience. It is going to have a strong appeal not only to the residents and office workers who call Atlantic Station home, but to the surrounding community.”
Founded by Atlantic Station residents Kiara and Corey Johnson, ATL Kula will be a fitness studio offering a holistic wellness experience, connecting mind, body and soul. The studio will offer a variation of yoga classes taught by six seasoned instructors including Hatha, Vinyasa and restorative yoga practices, as well as traditional Pilates and barre classes.

“Growing up in Atlanta, I’ve watched as the city has transformed over the past few years,” Corey said. “The Midtown area offers everything Atlanta can be. It’s forward-thinking and fosters the community spirit we are looking to have at ATL Kula. After seeing the success of Atlantic Station’s summer yoga activities, we realized it was the perfect location for our first permanent studio. We are so excited to bring ATL Kula to such an iconic spot in Atlanta and feel like our various wellness options will be beneficial to the thousands of residents and employees that live and work in the neighborhood.”
The studio will feature two full-size classrooms, a lounge and a meditation room. Designed in circular patterns, ATL Kula will encourage community engagement among guests and provide a space for guests to feel centered. The Johnsons plan to incorporate natural elements throughout the interiors of the studio, including a soothing color palette, koi pond and plant life.
