Augusta Man Missing in Atlanta for Weeks

The 60-year-old has a history of homelessness and hasn't been seen since the middle of August.

Atlanta police are looking for an Augusta man who has been missing since the middle of last month.

Ronnie Stokes, 60, was last seen around Aug. 15 by a lifelong friend in a neighborhood off of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive after he moved out of the Budgetell Inn on Aug. 3. The friend advised police that he had called 911 for Stokes to be taken to the hospital, but could not say if he was ever transported. Stokes’ sister told police that Stokes has a history of homelessness and an injured foot, but no apparent mental issues.

Stokes is a black male who stands 5’11” tall and weighs 149 lbs. He may have been last wearing khaki pants and a plaid jacket. He has no working cell phone on his person, as he apparently broke it, according to his sister.
