Bank Fraud Suspect Turns Herself In

The 26-year-old woman is suspected of stealing $123,000 from a Charles Schwab account using identity fraud.

A South Carolina woman who is accused of stealing over $100,000 through identity theft and bank fraud has turned herself in, Atlanta Police say.

Officer Kim Jones told Patch that Tanya Monique Peel, 26, turned herself in Thursday at the Zone 2 precinct, located in Buckhead. Fulton County Jail records show that Peel has been charged with felony theft by taking.

On Wednesday, Patch reported that Peel was wanted by police for allegedly stealing a person's identity then posing as the victim to steal $123,000 from a Charles Schwab account late last year. Peel then allegedly transferred the money to a phone JP Morgan Chase business account and withdrew all the money.
