What is Blondes vs. Brunettes?
Blondes vs. Brunettes® is a flag football game that was created in the fall of 2005 by a group of young professional women in Washington, D.C., led by Sara Abbott. Her sister, Kate Stukenberg, soon grew the game to Texas. The founders had a personal connection to Alzheimer’s disease and designed the event to raise awareness among their peers while also raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. Since that inaugural game in Washington D.C., the event has successfully branched out to more than 35 additional cities, raising more than $3 million and bringing thousands of new supporters to the cause.
