Body of 'Mighty Mo' Organist Finally To Be Released
Larry-Douglas Embury died last month, but his remains have been lying in a morgue ever since.

ATLANTA, GA -- More than $2,000 has been raised online to claim the body and arrange a cremation for the organist who played the legendary "Mighty Mo" at the Fox Theatre.
Larry-Douglas Embury died on Feb., but friends say he had no will, no insurance and no heirs, and that his body has been lying in a morgue ever since his death.
A GoFundMe account was begun to raise money for a cremation and other expenses. Its goal was $2,000, but it has since raised $2,780.
A message posted to the account on late Wednesday said, "Thank you friends! We are overwhelmed by your generosity! We have met our goal and will be thrilled to take action. I am simply amazed by the kindness of strangers and am truly touched. God Bless you all!"
Embury was an Organist in Residence at the Fox, and first played the "Mighty Mo" in 2002. Check out one of his many performances.
