Bystander Wounded in Gunfight Between Theft Suspect and Police
The woman was shot in the leg and is expected to survive. It is not yet known who fired the shot which hit the woman.

A woman was wounded during a gunfight outside a College Park elementary school between an alleged theft suspect and a police officer, FOX 5 Atlanta reports.
Fulton County Police said that the suspect, who may have been armed with a rifle or shotgun, opened fire on the College Park police officer, who returned fire in the back parking lot Heritage Elementary School, located off of Old National Highway. The gunfight began after school hours, and no students were inside the school at the time
An 18-year-old woman was in the vicinity of the shootout and was wounded by a bullet. She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Police have not confirmed who fired the shot which wounded the woman.
