Charges Filed in Fatal Atlanta Hit-and-Run
A 56-year-old man was struck and killed in downtown Atlanta on Saturday afternoon.

Atlanta police have charged two men in the aftermath of a hit-and-run in downtown Atlanta on Saturday which left a pedestrian dead.

According to WSB-TV, Darathe Buckner, 56, was killed when he was trying to cross Trinity Avenue at Peachtree Street by a 1995 Ford Mustang driving south on Peachtree. The driver and his passenger abandoned the vehicle and allegedly called 911 to report the vehicle as stolen.
The driver, Antavious Lowe was charged with first degree homicide by vehicle, felony hit and run, and failure to yield to a pedestrian, WSB-TV says. The passenger, Kim Jung-Ki, was arrested for giving false statements.
