Chinese Restaurant Gets Low Score in Health inspection: Report

Eatery draws criticism for variety of issues, says TV station.

ATLANTA, GA — For the second time this year, a midtown Chinese restaurant has received a failing grade from health inspectors, according to a media report.

Food service inspectors from the Fulton County Environmental Health office gave the Chinese Buddha restaurant a score of 33 after a visit on Nov. 3, according to the office's website. Inspectors score restaurants on a scale of 1 to 100.

The Chinese Buddha, at 100 10th St., received a grade of "U" from the inspectors. In a June 6 inspection, it received a score of 52, another failing grade, but in a follow-up visit on June 20, it received a 96, or an "A"

The latest inspection found more than two dozen violations, from an employee handling food with bare hands to "failure to wash and properly sanitize containers and pans," WSB-TV Channel 2 reported.

The Chinese Buddha is scheduled to undergo another inspection in the next few weeks, WSB-TV reported.
