Conversations with Contemporary Artists: Graciela Iturbide

Widely celebrated as one of the most significant contemporary photographers of Mexico, Graciela Iturbide has developed a rich body of work over four decades, inspired largely by a fascination with everyday life in her home country. Mentored by Manuel Álvarez Bravo, her work has consistently explored the urban/rural dichotomy while examining the intersection of tradition and rituals with Mexico’s modernity.
