Tracy Woodard and Nick Hess from Mad Housers, Inc. will discuss modular shelter as a stepping stone between living on the streets and getting back into a stable home environment.
Mad Housers, Inc. is a non-profit corporation based in Atlanta, Georgia and engaged in charitable work, research and education. The Mad Housers are perhaps best known for a hands-on, pragmatic approach to providing shelter to people who are homeless, in particular through the design, construction and provision of small shelters, which although not meant as permanent housing, provide “privacy, security, protection from the elements, and stability.” Lecture begins at 6:30 pm and will be followed by a Q&A.
