Did Sharp Curve Contribute to Triple Fatality?

Safety advocate sounds off after three men died in a wreck over the weekend near Midtown.

A safety advocate says a dangerous curve may have some responsibility in a fatal wreck that killed three men early Saturday morning.

The men were riding in a 2012 Audi A3 that fell off the Spring Street ramp and on to Interstate 75 northbound early Saturday morning, according to police.

Esu Manzano, 36; Adam Bailey, 33; and Cordel Fowler, 24, were all killed just after 3 a.m. when the the Audi veered off of southbound Buford Highway, rode the barrier, and eventually fell 50 feet off the Spring Street ramp to the interstate below.

Traffic Safety Advocate Sally Flock told CBS46 the curve in that area often catches drivers off-guard. She believes more signage is needed in the area.

A friend of the victims told WSB-TV that he had last seen the men at approximately 2 a.m. leaving a club in Midtown.
