Do You Have What it Takes to be Among Atlanta's Finest?

The Atlanta Police Department is looking to swell its ranks by hosting a series of recruitment events during the next several weeks.

According to the department, recruitment events will run approximately six hours and take place at the Public Safety Headquarters building located at 226 Peachtree St. Each event will include testing and interviews. Applicants should come dressed in business casual attire and must bring a government-issued photo ID card with them. Anyone who shows up late will not be allowed to participate.

Starting salaries for APD officers with bachelor’s degrees is $42,128.71, with insurance benefits provided. The department also officers housing stipends, tuition reimbursement, and leadership development programs.

The first recruiting event will be held on Monday, Feb. 2 at 8 a.m., the department says. Subsequent recruiting events will be held on:

• Friday, Feb. 6 at 8:00 a.m.
• Monday, Feb. 9 at 8:00 a.m.
• Friday, Feb. 13 at 8:00 a.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 14 at 9:00 a.m.
• Friday, Feb. 20 at 8:00 a.m.
• Monday, Feb. 23 at 8:00 a.m.
• Friday, Feb. 27 at 8:00 a.m.
• Saturday, Feb. 28 at 9:00 a.m.
