Dogwood Festival: Everything You Need to Know
Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend this weekend's 80th annual festival.
ATLANTA, GA -- One of the city's signature events of spring is set for this weekend at Piedmont Park in Midtown.
The 80th annual Dogwood Festival runs from:
- Friday, April 8: noon to 11pm
- Saturday, April 9: 10am - 11pm
- Sunday, April 10: 10am - 6pm

- No outside food or beverages may be brought into Piedmont Park during the festival. Small chairs are allowed. No tents or coolers are allowed.
- See the map attached to this article for a complete map of the festival, including PARKING areas.
- MARTA is the preferred way to get to the Atlanta Dogwood Festival.
- There is limited handicap parking on 10th Street and in the Sage Parking Garage. Piedmont Park has paved walking paths throughout.
- Pets are not permitted inside Piedmont Park during the event. The Off Leash Dog Park will be open during the event. Users of this area will be allowed access to the Park Drive entrance only.
- The City of Atlanta has passed a ban on smoking in outdoor parks and recreational facilities, including Piedmont Park. This means no tobacco products will be permitted anywhere in the park during the festival.
- There are ATMs located in several locations inside the park.
Road closings:
- 8th Street NW between William Street and Spring Street will be closed for the Dogwood Festival. Traffic detour signs will be posted to direct traffic.
- Visitors should only park in permitted lots and pay attention to “No Parking” signs to avoid citations and fines.
- The Atlanta Police Department will be enforcing all illegal parking around Piedmont Park during the Festival. Violators are subject to having their vehicles ticketed and/or towed and impounded.

The Atlanta Dogwood Festival includes one of the largest and most diverse juried arts festivals in the country. More than 260 artists from around the country exhibit in 12 categories, including painting, glass, clay, wood and mixed media. Some of the country’s top painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metal craftsmen, glass blowers and more participate in the Atlanta Dogwood Festival Artist Market. In 2015, the Artist Market was ranked #28, out of the Top 200 Shows in the Country by Sunshine Artist Magazine.
