Dramatic Video Shows Midtown Smash and Grab

Surveillance video released by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and WSBTV on Monday dramatically shows a smash-and-grab at a Midtown print shop.

The video shows five people -- four wearing hoodies and one with a T-shirt tied around his face -- throwing a large rock into the window of Creative Approach on West Peachtree Street. The thieves had to throw the rock four times before it shattered the window.

One suspect is seen running away with a computer, while the others struggle for several seconds to steal computers through the shattered window before dropping them on the sidewalk and running away empty-handed.

Witnesses described the suspects as black males ranging in age from 15 to 19. They sped away from the scene in a dark sedan with a loud muffler.

This is the third time this year that Creative Approach has been burglarized, the paper said.
