Earth Day Buzz at FloatAway Community

Everyone is abuzz about Earth Day Buzz, a celebration at FloatAway Community in honor of Earth Day on Monday, April 25.

Everyone is abuzz about Earth Day Buzz, a celebration at FloatAway Community in honor of Earth Day on Monday, April 25. A precursor to Festive Friday on May 6, this event is one of FloatAway Community’s multiple opportunities in the spring to continue raising funds for the much-anticipated community space, Zonolite Park’s Nickel Bottom Garden. From 9 a.m. to noon, FloatAway tenants and guests are invited to come together to help plant a pollinator garden in Nickel Bottom Garden, encouraging pollinator diversity and natural abundance in the area. Once an industrial site and now repurposed into an ecologically diverse greenspace, Zonolite Park provides the Morningside area with a lush oasis of greenery featuring walking trails, picnic tables, a thriving native meadow, bog & creek ecosystems, superior bird-watching and now a pollinator garden in Nickel Bottom Garden. Light snacks and beverages will be provided for participants. FloatAway Community is also looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help assist at this event. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please email kelley.mclaughlin@phase3mc.com or maddie.scarborough@phase3mc.com.
