Cinco de Mayo Celebration at the Children's Museum

Cinco de Mayo celebrates the victory of the Mexican Army over the French Army in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Today people all over the world celebrate with festivals, special dances and cultural cuisine. Another tradition, is to wear red and green clothes, the colors of the Mexican flag.

The Museum will celebrate with a reading of Cinco de Mouse-O by Judy Cox. Children can make their own maracas in honor of the holiday.

Saturday, May 5 – craft and story at 12:00 pm.
Sunday, May 6 – craft at 2:00 pm Story at 3:00 pm.
