"My Name is Asher Lev" Reception

Save the date for this special reception prior to a performance of the Theatrical Outfit’s production of My Name is Asher Lev based on the novel by Chaim Potok. Asher Lev possesses a prodigious artistic ability and is driven to draw and paint the world as he sees it. Born into a Hasidic family in post-World War II Brooklyn, his artistic genius threatens to estrange him from both his parents and his observant Jewish community. An interesting coming-of-age story that seamlessly explores art, family and religion.

Theatrical Outfit will be performing My Name is Asher Lev, from August 22 through September 16 at the Balzer Theater at Herren’s, 84 Luckie Street, Atlanta, 30303. It stars Nick Arapoglou, Lane Carlock and Brian Kurlander.  It is directed by Mira Hirsch.
