Sunshine Family Fest

The inaugural "Sunshine Family Fest" is set to take place Sunday, September 18, 2011, from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Park Tavern in Piedmont Park. The music of Always Saturday, Kitty Wolf and Mommie, three emerging kid/family friendly bands, will highlight the event. The afternoon will also feature children’s games and a wide variety of raffle prizes from local businesses.

All proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit Camp Sunshine, a unique Decatur-based non-profit organization providing year-long programs for children with cancer in Georgia. The camp’s mission is to give children the opportunity to enjoy every-day activities such as swimming, horseback riding, arts and crafts, while making new friends in the process.

Always Saturday is a group of artists dedicated to making bright music and stories that connect communities and benefit kids.  The group brings family stories to life through music and story telling.
