Each year, the Ebony Stitchers Quilt Guild hosts a quilt exhibition in conjunction with the National Black Arts Festival. The theme for this year's 6th annual exhibition is Out of the Box - Art Quilt, and the exhibition will feature quilts that are not necessarily made from squares and are, therefore, "out of the box." The exhibition challenges quilters to design and create quilts using fabrics that are nontraditional, to dabble with embellishments, and to
imagine.
Please meet us at the SEFAA Center (1705 Commerce Dr. NW) to caravan to the Porter Sanford II Performing Arts & Community Center to enjoy Out of the Box - Art Quilts and a special showing of Men Quilt Also! What's better than enjoying a fiber art exhibition with friends?
You might also consider registering for some of the lectures, classes, and events offered in conjunction with the quilt exhibition. The schedule, details and registration
information is available on the Ebony Stitchers Quilt Guild website: under the Classes, Workshops & Lectures tab: www.ebonystitchersquiltguild.org.
