Midtown resident Jill M. Daly has been named Executive Director of Everybody Wins! Atlanta (www.everybodywinsatlanta.org), the local chapter of a national literacy and mentoring non-profit, according to Patrick O’Neill, president of the Board of Directors of Everybody Wins! Atlanta. Daly has been serving as Deputy Director of the organization for the past two years. In her new position, Daly will oversee two literacy programs at elementary schools throughout metro Atlanta, as well as manage all fundraising, marketing and volunteer recruitment and training programs for the organization.
“As Deputy Director, Jill helped us increase the number of underserved students we work with by 15 percent,” said O’Neill. “She has solidified and expanded our relationships with school principals, business leaders, volunteers and funding sources and also expanded our use of technology to optimize volunteer training and education to enhance the students’ experiences. As the Board discussed possible candidates for the Executive Director position, we realized we had the perfect person right here within the organization,” he said.
A former teacher, Daly brings a variety of non-profit experience to her new position. Prior to joining Everybody Wins! Atlanta, she was Regional Operations Manager for Jobs for Illinois Graduates, Inc., where she led a team of education professionals as they implemented the Jobs for America’s Graduates model in 13 Chicago-area high schools. She was also nominated and chosen to participate in the inaugural class of the American Express Non-Profit Leadership Academy. Daly’s experience also includes marketing and coordinating promotional and publicity programs for several major film studios. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University, and currently lives in Midtown.
