Ex-Here to Serve Employees Sue for Back Wages
The popular chain of restaurants abruptly closed last week.

More than 75 ex-employees of Here to Serve Restaurants are suing the company for back wages.
According to EaterAtlanta, the workers have filed a federal lawsuit for overdue paychecks that were supposed to have been released on Oct. 2.
The trendy chain of bars and eateries owned and operated by the Atlanta-based company suddenly closed last week.

Tomorrow’s News Today reported the company told their staff of about 1,000 servers, bartenders, cooks and other personnel last Monday afternoon that the restaurants were shutting down.
The company operated 10 locations throughout metro Atlanta, including Brookhaven, Buckhead, Midtown, Virginia Highland, Vinings and Johns Creek.

The AJC speculated the closings may be the result of a federal lawsuit against Here to Serve by the owners of Buckhead’s Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square, who wanted the restaurants evicted over claims of a contract breach.
