Fire on MARTA Tracks in Midtown Reported Sunday Evening
Service at the Arts Center Station was interrupted for around an hour as authorities investigated the situation.
Commuters in Midtown were inconvenienced on Sunday evening after the MARTA Arts Center Station was closed for about an hour following a report of a fire on the train tracks nearby.
WSB-TV reports that a train operator reported the blaze between Arts Center and Midtown stations at around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. According to the station, MARTA Police and Atlanta Fire Department personnel responded to the site of the fire, but found none.
MARTA operated a bus bridge between Arts Center and Lindbergh stations while the incident was investigated, WSB-TV says.
