Former Atlanta Cop Faces Brutality Charges

Nicholas J. Dimauro has been indicted for allegedly beating a man for 15 minutes behind a house in Atlanta in 2010.

A former Atlanta police officer has been indicted on aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and oath violation charges by a Fulton County grand jury as a result of an alleged 2010 beating, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Prosecutors allege that Nicholas J. Dimauro brutally beat Robert Wormley behind a home on Hood Street. They contend that a witness who lived inside the home saw DiMauro hit and kick Wormley for 15 minutes.

Dimauro claims the man was illegally walking on Woods Drive and fled when Dimauro tried to question him.
