Fulton County Job Fair Attracts Hundreds of Applicants
551 job seekers spoke with 22 companies planning to make hires in the immediate future.

Job Applicants lined up inside and outside the Adamsville Regional Health Center today, June 9, 2015 to talk to 22 employers who plan to hire staff over the next 30-90 days. At the close of the four-hour event, 551 job seekers took advantage of the opportunity to present their qualifications for open positions.
Employers participating in the Job Fair included the following agencies and businesses; Porsche Cars North America, Lowe’s, State Farm, Dover Staffing, Sam’s Club, Starwood Hotels of Atlanta, All (n) 1 Security Services, Grand Hyatt Atlanta, Heartbeat Youth Market, AETC, Inc. (Airport Education and Training Center), Zaxby’s SEEDCO, Fulton County’s Personnel Department, Acsential (IT and Human Resources), ARK Temp Staffing, Gate Gourmet, ICP/Chat Comm 911(Chattahoochee 911), Bigger than Me (Job Training and Placement), MTI Limo & Shuttle Services, Checkers, and Atlanta Peach Movers.

The Job Fair was hosted by the office of Fulton County District 4 Commissioner Joan P. Garner and the Office of Workforce Development.
Overall, in 2014, the Workforce Development helped over 900 people to land jobs. Skills update opportunities were provided to over 200 Workforce Development customers and over 60 Job Readiness Workshops were offered. The Workshops are held throughout the year in Fulton County Career Centers.

Numerous services are offered to help unemployed workers throughout the year. Additionally, employment search services and job training are provided to the long-term unemployed who may need help in improving their resumes and interviewing skills.
