Fundraiser This Weekend for Injured Cyclist
Two people are in custody for the June 9 assault on Greg Germani.
The cyclist who was severely injured in an assault by two people in Morningside in June is on the road to recovery, but friends and family are asking for some helping hands to defray medical expenses.
CBS Atlanta reports that Greg Germani, who suffered traumatic brain injury in the assault, has been at the Shepherd Center’s Brain Injury Program since July 24. Although Germani has insurance, some of his medical bills are not covered and his family has set up a donation page to cover these costs.
An additional fundraiser will be held on Aug. 2 at the Star Community Bar in Virginia Highlands, featuring music from some of Germani’s favorite bands. There will also be a raffle of items donated by local businesses, musicians, and artists.
