Gambling Argument Led To Murder: Police

The deadly shooting happened last month in front of an apartment complex near Ponce City Market, according to police.

ATLANTA, GA — An Atlanta man is under arrest for murder after police say he shot another man during a gambling argument near Ponce City Market in Atlanta last month.

Gregory Oliver, 33, was taken into custody at his lawyer's office last week and taken to Fulton County Jail, according to the Atlanta Police Department. According to police, officers were called to an apartment building at 633 Parkway Dr. — which is between Ponce de Leon Avenue and North Avenue near Ponce City Market — at about 9 p.m. on April 21.

There, they found Patrick Belton, 32, who had been shot several times. An EMS team responded and pronounced Belton dead at the scene.
