Genki Noodles and Sushi Unveils New Menus at All Three Locations

Head to Each Location for Menu Launch Parties Beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2015

Genki Noodles and Sushi, known for its artfully presented sushi, bountiful noodle bowls, and Japanese cuisine, is delighted to introduce new lunch, dinner, and cocktail menus at all three of its locations this fall. An Atlanta staple for almost 20 years, Genki’s new menus combine traditional favorites with new rolls, numerous gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options, specialty cocktail offerings and an expanded selection of Japanese and craft beers. To mark the occasion, Genki is hosting kickoff parties at each of its locations beginning Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Genki Buckhead featuring half-priced sake and beer, 25% off all new food items, and the chance to win a $100 gift card. The celebrations at the Virginia Highland and The Prado locations fall on Wednesday, September 9 and 10 from 7 to 10 p.m. respectively.

“Genki Noodles and Sushi has been a healthy, happy and vivacious journey that continues to grow and evolve thanks all of our patrons. With our latest menu release comes fresh flavors, new combinations and inspirations provided through their feedback and input,” says Reid Zeising, founder of Genki Noodles and Sushi.

Zeising, who spent his childhood in Tokyo, took Atlanta by storm in 1996 when he opened the first Genki in the heart of the Buckhead, bringing Atlantans and visitors alike an amalgamation of the foods he grew up eating and loved including traditional Japanese cuisine and street food, creative noodle and rice bowls, fresh sushi and more. Almost 20 years later, Genki boasts locations in Virginia Highland and Sandy Springs in addition to delighting Atlantans at food truck parks and pop-up locations with its GENKI To-Go Food Truck and at The Georgia Dome.

“We are very excited to introduce even more vegan and vegetarian options, numerous gluten-free dishes and we modified our house-made sauces so they can be ordered gluten-free as well,” adds Zeising.

Along with fan favorites like Japanese marinated ribs; gyoza; and tiger shrimp sautéed in a spicy garlic chili sauce and served over house-made guacamole, diners can now enjoy an array of new starters including the new Yellow Tail and Jalapeno appetizer - thinly sliced yellowtail with fresh jalapeño drizzled with ponzu sauce; and ceviche featuring fresh shrimp, scallops, and red snapper with avocado, red onions and jalapeño.

Always a favorite, diners can still build their own noodle and rice bowls filled with fresh chicken, fish, beef and vegetables or try new offerings like the gluten-free Mahi Mahi Donburi bowl featuring grilled mahi mahi, mixed vegetables and served over brown rice with a miso honey glaze. Whether it is for a starter or a full meal, Genki is offering even more sushi and sashimi options including hokkiaga, ikura, hotategai, tuna specialties and an expansive list of new rolls, combos and more.

To compliment the new menu offerings, Genki has also expanded its wine, sake, craft beer and cocktail selection. New signature cocktails include the Japanese Mule – Hangar 1 Ginger Infused Vodka, ginger beer, a sprig of fresh mint topped with fresh squeezed lime juice; New Fashioned – Virgil Kaine Bourbon and Proof old fashioned syrup from Decatur, Ga., garnished with a fresh orange slice and cherry; and the Gojira – Watershed Barrel Aged Gin, Luxardo, Angostura and dry vermouth. Second Self Thai Wheat, Orpheus Atlanta, Wild Heaven Emergency Drinking Beer, Asahi Dry, Kirin Ichiban, and a selection of Yo-Ho Brewing Company beers are among the new Japanese and craft beers that are available.
