According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, the $300 million project will be headed up by real estate company Portman Holdings LLC, with the goal of creating facilities for state-of-the-art academic research, big data analytics, and high-performance computing. Tech will own half of the development, while the other half will be available for private interests.
The Chronicle reports that the expansion will take the place of the Crum & Forster building at 4th and Spring streets and rise high above the local skyline at Technology Square.
