Georgia's Army National Guard Spends Christmas at Home
This is the first Christmas since 2000 that all Georgia guardsmen are stateside away from combat.

For the first time since the War on Terror began, all soldiers in the Georgia Army National Guard will spend the holiday season at home, FOX 5 Atlanta says.
According to the station, a National Guard release confirmed that since the first guard units deployed in November of 2001, there hasn’t been a holiday season where all Army guardsmen were at home with their families. There are still 75 members of the Georgia Air National Guard on deployment overseas, the release added.
Further deployments for Army guardsmen are expected in the new year, according to the release.
