Grady to Host Meeting on Flood Hazard Maps

The city of Atlanta is hosting a series of open houses to allow residents to view new flood hazard maps and provide comment prior to the maps' final adoption.

A meeting in Midtown is set for Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. at .

"A meeting on flood plain maps may not initially seem of much interest to you, but these maps, once certified, have significant bearing on flood insurance rates for properties, among other things," Dist. 2 Atlanta City Councilman Kwanza Hall said in an email to the community.
